Located at The City Palace in Jaipur, this is one of the biggest attractions in Western India. Containing art pieces of national significance, The Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum is one of India’s premier museums visited by people from all over the world. The artefacts have been commissioned over the centuries by rulers from different dynasties through different centuries. The exhibits include Sabha Niwas (Darbar Hall), royal dresses, fine quality weapons that once belonged to the famed Mughal emperors and Rajput rulers. With 5 unique galleries namely Textile gallery, Sarvatobhadra, Sabha Niwas, Sileh Khana, and Painting & Photography gallery, the museum encapsulates an Indian identity that has been passed through years and civilisations. Even though comparatively recent, the Painting & Photography Gallery houses priceless pieces that are well sought after.
