A Cultural Haven for Art, Heritage, and Expression

There are very few museums in India, even in the world where art connoisseurs, scholars, artists, artisans and tourists can freely interact. The Jawahar Kala Kendra, being such a rare place is also backed by artefacts that strongly portray the rich heritage and culture of India, particularly Rajasthan. Located in the capital city of Jaipur, this museum is a haven for people who want to explore different art forms of India. There are 3 art galleries here at the Jawahar Kala Kendra, frequently displaying works by Indian artists. It is also a great place to enjoy the artworks of global artists who are not only up-and-coming but also renowned ones. The museum’s structure is inspired by the theme of Navgraha (nine planets) and designed by the Indian architect of international repute, the Late. Charles Correa. Visit the place and be greeted not only by the art and crafts but also by peculiar fragrances that are complemented by live performances of indigenous folk singers and dancers that are quintessentially Rajasthani.
