Celebrating the region’s artistic heritage

Along College Road in the vibrant city of Bhuj, Gujarat, lies the Bharatiya Sanskruti Museum. Affectionately dubbed the Folk Museum, this gem is a treasure trove of culture and artistry that invites you to immerse in the captivating traditions of Gujarat! Established by the passionate Ramsinhji Rathod, a true connoisseur of Kutch’s folk art, the museum has been enchanting visitors for many years. It serves as both a showcase of creativity and a cultural hub, brimming with unique and rare artefacts that celebrate the rich folk heritage of the Kutch region.

A collection created by dedication

Wander through its halls and marvel at the stunning displays of art and craft that hail from the far-flung corners of Kutch District — all lovingly collected by dedicated forest service officials during their travels. The museum itself resembles a traditional hut with a colossal stone door, beautifully embellished with intricate rock carvings that beckon you to explore. And with more than 4,500 exhibits sourced from various villages and rural areas, the Bharatiya Sanskruti Darshan Museum is truly a journey into the heart and soul of Kutch’s artistic legacy.
