Where faith flows unabated

In the heart of Uttar Pradesh, the sacred city of Prayagraj beckons travellers and pilgrims alike to experience the mystical confluence of faith and nature at the Triveni Sangam. Imagine standing where the Ganga, the Yamuna, and the Saraswati rivers converge. At this sacred confluence, you'll find more than just a meeting of waters; it’s a haven that lures pilgrims from far and wide, all in search of spiritual rejuvenation and the chance to cleanse their souls.

The belief in the waters' purifying powers runs deep - many say a holy dip here can wash away your sins and bring peace to your spirit. As the currents of the Ganga dance with the vibrant flow of the Yamuna, the scene is nothing short of breathtaking - a visual feast that draws thousands of devotees each day. Underneath the surface, the elusive Saraswati is said to flow, merging its sacred essence with the two prominent rivers.

A gathering of faith

The roots of Triveni Sangam stretch into the annals of Hindu mythology. According to the age-old lore, drops of nectar from the Amrit Manthan, the mythological 'Churning of the Ocean,' fell upon this very spot, infusing it with divine significance. It was at this hallowed ground that Lord Brahma performed the Prakrista Yajna, an act that led to the place's christening as Prayag, a name it has carried through the ages.

Every 12 years, the Triveni Sangam becomes the epicentre of an unparalleled spiritual congregation known as the Kumbh Mela. Here, you will witness devotees, ascetics, sages, and pilgrims converge upon this sacred site, transforming it into the largest religious gathering in the world. The devotion and fervour of this assembly are so profound that a Maha Kumbh Mela, an event held once every 144 years, is also observed here!
