A gem amidst lush hillocks

Located about 60 km from Rajkot, Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife wonderland that beckons nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Established in November 1988, this enchanting sanctuary spans 15 square kilometres of verdant landscapes, where hillocks frame a vibrant tapestry of shrubs, grasses, and diverse flora.

As you wander through its lush surroundings, you'll encounter over 280 species of plants and be captivated by the melodies of 130 different bird species soaring overhead. From playful mammals to elusive reptiles, the sanctuary teems with life, making it a remarkable destination for anyone eager to connect with nature and explore the wonders of wildlife!

Step into a natural amphitheatre

As you wander through the sanctuary, you'll discover a mostly flat expanse at its heart, surrounded by gentle hills that serve as nature's boundary markers. This natural amphitheatre is alive with the sounds of wildlife! Keep your eyes peeled for the vibrant Indian Roller, the Crested Serpent Eagle, the Black-Shouldered Kite, the White-Eyed Buzzard, and the Grey Francolin, along with many other avian marvels.

For a breathtaking experience, climb up the watchtower located in the centre of the sanctuary. From this vantage point, you'll enjoy sweeping views of the land, where two glistening streams weave through the terrain, bringing life to the otherwise parched landscape. It’s a perfect spot to soak in the beauty around you and perhaps catch sight of a few creatures enjoying the refreshing waters.
