Festival Experience
According to the Hindu calendar, the Rath Yatra commences every year on Ashadh Shukla Dwitiya, mirroring the traditions of the Jagannath Temple in Puri. During the procession, Lord Jagannath, accompanied by his sister Goddess Subhadra and brother Lord Balabhadra, ceremonially leaves the temple to bless devotees along the route. The sacred journey begins from Panna and proceeds to Janakpur, reaching its destination on the third day.
