The sanctuary's landscape is a captivating interplay of geological formations and vegetation types. Chandrapur sandstone in Core 2 Sitanadi creates a unique habitat for a variety of plant life. Imagine towering Sal trees standing tall amidst a mixed forest of Tinsa and Ghont trees. Nala banks (ravines) and slopes boast a dens forest cover, with the presence of bamboo adding another layer of green beauty. Valleys and plains showcase a good quality mixed forest with a significant presence of Saja trees. Udanti Sanctuary is a safe refuge for a variety of animals, making it a prime destination for wildlife viewing. The star attraction, undoubtedly, is the Asiatic Wild Buffalo, an endangered species that finds shelter within Udanti's borders.
