Discovering a rich legacy

One of the highlights of Agartala is the Heritage Park, an expansive 12-acre oasis that embodies the rich cultural diversity of the region, embracing both tribal and non-tribal communities. Divided into three distinct areas, the park invites visitors into a world of wonder. As you enter, the mini-Tripura section greets you, offering glimpses of the local culture. Further exploration leads to the Central district, where pristine woodlands unfold, and a sense of tranquillity permeates the air. Finally, a level area showcases medicinal plants and herbs, connecting visitors with the healing power of nature.

The Heritage Park treats visitors to scaled-down replicas of iconic sculptures and landmarks, including the renowned Unakoti sculptures, the magnificent Ujjayanta Palace, the enchanting Neermahal palace, the Tripura Sundari Temple, and ancient stone relics from Pilak. A one-kilometre footway winds through the park, guiding visitors through indigenous trees and exotic blooms, creating an immersive experience of cultural and natural heritage. Inaugurated in 2012 by the former chief minister of Tripura, the Heritage Park is a testament to the region's rich past and vibrant present.
