Behold the cascading beauty of Satara

Prepare to be swept off your feet by the enchanting Thoseghar Falls, a hidden gem tucked away in the lush Satara district of Maharashtra! This majestic wonder is not just any waterfall; it's one of the highest in India, plunging down a staggering 500 meters through a series of cascades. Imagine standing at the edge of a deep gorge, where the sound of rushing water fills the air, and the mist dances around you like a playful spirit!

Thoseghar is also a seasonal spectacle, coming alive during the monsoon, like a flamboyant performer taking centre stage. As the heavens open up and unleash their bounty, the once-gentle streams transform into powerful cascades, creating a mesmerising show that’s simply too good to miss

With its picturesque picnic spots and a newly crafted viewing platform, Thoseghar invites you to kick back, take some stunning selfies, and soak in the serenity.

An enchanting picnic spot

At Thoseghar Falls, the picnic area and viewing gallery offer an exhilarating experience, presenting the perfect platforms to soak in the enchanting atmosphere created by the breathtaking falls.

As you hike through the winding trails, the thrill of adventure fills the air. Just be cautious -especially during the rainy season - as the terrain can be slippery. But fear not! Most paths are well maintained, guiding you to stunning vantage points where you can marvel at the deep gorge and the thunderous plummet of water.

When you finally stand at the viewing platform, you'll be greeted by a stunning valley, cradled by lush green cliffs. While direct access to the falls isn’t allowed, you can venture along the well-marked access paths that lead you close to the heart of nature's spectacle.

And for bird enthusiasts, Thoseghar Falls is nothing short of magical! Witness flocks of vibrant birds soaring gracefully against the backdrop of cascading water and verdant cliffs - an unforgettable spectacle that adds to the charm of this breathtaking location.
