Gogamedi Fair 2026
The Gogamedi Fair is one of Rajasthan’s most significant spiritual gatherings, celebrated with deep devotion and vibrant cultural traditions. Scheduled to be held on 17 & 18 September 2026, the fair is organized in honor of the revered folk deity Gogaji and attracts thousands of devotees, pilgrims, and travellers from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, and several other parts of India. Rooted in centuries-old beliefs and folk traditions, the fair reflects the spiritual soul and cultural richness of rural Rajasthan.
Dedicated to Gogaji, also known as Gogapir or Jahar Veer Gogga, the fair is celebrated at Gogamedi, a sacred pilgrimage site associated with the legendary warrior saint who is worshipped as a protector against snake bites and evil forces. Revered equally by Hindus and Muslims, Gogaji symbolises communal harmony and spiritual unity in the region.
The Gogamedi Fair is a vibrant showcase of Rajasthan’s rural culture and folk heritage. Visitors can witness colourful traditional attire, folk dances, camel carts, local markets, and cultural performances that reflect the spirit of desert communities.The fairgrounds become lively with stalls selling handicrafts, traditional jewellery, toys, textiles, and regional delicacies. Rural artisans and craftsmen from nearby villages participate enthusiastically, making the fair an important cultural and social gathering for local communities.
