Experience the Pachmarhi Utsav

Pachmarhi, the glorious "Queen of Satpura," is a serene hill station in Madhya Pradesh known for its breathtaking landscapes and lush green forests. Situated 1,607m above sea level, it offers a refreshing escape filled with gushing waterfalls and misty peaks. This natural paradise serves as the perfect setting for the Pachmarhi Utsav, a celebration that blends the beauty of the hills with the vibrant spirit of the region’s cultural heritage.

The Pachmarhi Utsav is a six-day annual festival that begins every year on December 25 and continues through the New Year. This cultural extravaganza is designed to acquaint tourists and younger generations with the true essence and diversity of Madhya Pradesh. The event features a rich bouquet of cultural programs, including folk dances like Matki, Raai, Ahirai, and Bhagoria, as well as soulful folk music. Visitors can enjoy performances by celebrity artists and international bands, explore exhibitions and craft fairs by the Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation, and savor local delicacies at numerous food stalls.

While enjoying the festivities, you can visit the historic Pandav Caves, the spiritual Jata Shankar Cave, and witness a spectacular sunset at Dhoopgarh, the highest point in the Satpura Range. Nature lovers can marvel at the magnificent Bee Falls, Apsara Vihar, and the towering Silver Falls.
