Continuing its tradition of celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh, Bharat Bhavan, under the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh, presents Badal Raag Samaroha—a distinguished four-day festival inspired by the many moods and expressions of the monsoon season. The festival aims to promote and showcase the state’s vibrant traditions of music, dance, and performing arts on a wider national and international platform. Through a series of thoughtfully curated performances, the event captures the beauty, emotion, and spirit of the rainy season through classical artistic expressions.

Festival Highlights

Badal Raag Samaroha brings together renowned artists and accomplished performers from across the country to present a diverse range of cultural performances inspired by the essence of Pavas (the monsoon). Audiences can experience mesmerizing presentations of Indian classical music, instrumental recitals, and traditional dance forms. The festival features captivating performances including Sitar–Santoor Jugalbandi, Hindustani Classical Vocal Recitals, Kathak Dance Performances, Meghdoot-inspired Dance Productions, Tabla Solo Performances, Violin Jugalbandi, and Flute Recitals, creating an immersive celebration of India’s artistic excellence.

Designed as a confluence of music, rhythm, and cultural expression, Badal Raag Samaroha offers visitors an enriching and memorable experience. Each evening presents a unique artistic journey, with different performers showcasing their talent through distinctive styles and interpretations.
