The Festival Experience

The Allauddin Khan Sangeet Samaroh is a three-day annual festival held in March to celebrate the profound contributions of the "maestro" to Indian classical music. Organized by the Ustad Allauddin Khan Sangeet Academy and the Department of Culture, the event showcases the brilliance of the Maihar Gharana. Music lovers can witness mesmerizing performances of Indian classical music, singing, and Kathak by both stalwarts and talented new artists. The festival keeps the maestro's legacy alive through the soulful sounds of the Maihar String Band and traditional instruments, casting a mesmerizing spell over the audience.
