The two-day celebration provides visitors with an opportunity to experience the warmth and hospitality of the Zanskari people while exploring their distinctive customs, traditional attire, indigenous cuisine, and age-old way of life. The festival also highlights local artisans, cultural groups, and community participation, helping preserve and promote the region’s invaluable cultural heritage.

More than a celebration, the Zanskar Festival is a journey into the heart of Zanskar—where spirituality, adventure, tradition, and community come together in a spectacular Himalayan setting.

Zanskar Festival is a cultural extravaganza that showcases the region's traditional music, dance, arts, and crafts. The festival will be hosted in Zanskar Valley, offering a rich array of experiences for visitors. Organised by the Tourism & Culture Department with the help of the locals, aims to promote tourism and the rich culture of the region. This festival organised in September attracts thousands of tourists from across the globe. Various cultural programs are held such as folk dances, traditional music, Ladakhi food, handicraft products, archery competitions and polo matches. Mask dances are one of the highlights of the festival. This festival is a perfect opportunity for the tourists to discover the culture and lifestyle of the Zanskari people
