Deepostav Festival - Porvorim

The Goa Deepotsav Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration organized. Around the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights, held each year with Porvorim serving as the primary venue, the event transforms the locality into a festive cultural hub alive with decorative lighting, traditional Akash Kandils (sky lanterns), and colourful rangoli art.

The festival features an engaging array of competitions and activities, including clay modelling workshops, drawing & cooking contests, fugdi, and the popular Veshbhusha Spardha, a Traditional Costume Contest,  alongside soulful music and cultural performances that bring the community together in celebration. Through this event, it reaffirms its commitment to promoting Goa's rich artistic traditions and cultural heritage, uniting local residents, performers, and visitors alike under the warm glow of Diwali, as part of its broader vision of showcasing "Goa Beyond Beaches."
