1. Flag Parade & Mock Battles
The day kicks off with a ceremonial parade where locals march through the streets carrying vibrant, multi-colored flags to honor the historic resistance. Villagers playfully reenact the boundary battles with bamboo pop-guns and paper pellets, maintaining the lighthearted spirit of the original protest.
2. Street Float Parade
Each ward (vaddo) designs elaborate floats showcasing Goan folklore, traditional village life, environmental issues, and local humor. Accompanied by brass bands and folk dance groups performing to traditional Konkani rhythms, the street procession converts the island into a open-air theater.
