Rottela Panduga- A Unique Exchange of Wishes and Unity in Nellore

In the vibrant city of Nellore, a truly unique and heartwarming tradition unfolds each year during the Rottela Panduga, or Festival of Rotis.' Centered around the historic Nellore Tank, thousands of devotees, irrespective of faith, gather to offer and exchange rotis (flatbreads). Each roti carries a silent prayer, a fulfilled wish, or a new hope, making the event a powerful expression of shared belief and profound gratitude, distinct to Nellore's spiritual landscape. Rooted in centuries-old Sufi traditions associated with the Bara Shaheed Dargah, the festival's origins lie in devotees fulfilling vows and seeking blessings.
