Explore the spiritual and educational side of Patna. Begin your day at Patna Sahib Gurudwara, a revered Sikh site built in honour of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Then, visit Mahavir Mandir, a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, drawing millions of devotees yearly. Dive into the city's educational heritage with a stop at Patna University, the first university in Bihar, established during the British Raj. At last, approach the Badi Patan Devi temple at Patna through multiple lanes in the city. This temple is to south-east of the famous Sikh Gurudwara, Harmandir Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Govind Singh. One among the 52 Shaktipeethas it is believed that the right thigh and pata and cloth of ma sati fell at Magadha, which is identified as Maharajganj and Chowk area of Patna. The temple has special significance, as all three form of powers, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati and Mahakali are present here in the form of stone statues and very significant religious place for Hindus.

It marks the house where Raja Fateh Chand Maini and Rani Vishambhari Devi lived and where Guru Gobind Singh, used to often play as a child. The tradition of serving boiled gram and puris as Prasad (consecrated food) in memory of Bala Pritam also continues here. And, unlike other gurudwaras in Patna, the Prasad here is served by Nirmala Sikhs. Then, head to Takht Shri Harmandir Sahab, a place of profound religious significance in Sikhism, drawing pilgrims from across the globe to witness its historical and spiritual importance. For a deeper dive into Patna's past, make your way to Kumhrar Archaeological Park, offering a glimpse into the remnants of the ancient city of Pataliputra. Today, it serves as the headquarters of Bihar Vidyapeeth, a National University, and the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee. Inside the ashram, you can explore a museum that houses the belongings and gifts of India's first president, Dr.Rajendra Prasad, providing a glimpse into the nation's rich history. Situated on the eastern side of the historic Gandhi Maidan, close to the state government's Udyog Bhavan, is a four-story mall that houses the largest collection of Khadi items in the nation. Hailed as one of the finest specimens of European architecture, is the construction of the Patna High Court building. The two-storeyed building is spread out in a U-shape and has a pedimented portico behind which rises a high dome over the central hall of the imposing structure.
