A 73km Spectacle

The Lidder River flows through the scenic Pahalgam Valley in Jammu and Kashmir, stretching over 73 kilometres from its source at the Kolahoi Glacier to its confluence with the Jhelum River. Originating at an elevation of 4,653 meters, this river carves through alpine meadows and a breathtaking landscape, offering a refreshing retreat with its crystal-clear blue waters. Its main tributaries, Lidder East and Lidder West, originate from Sheshnag Lake and Kolahoi Glacier respectively, converging near the town of Pahalgam.

The Envy of Postcards

The Lidder River is renowned for its clear, icy waters and the lush greenery of its banks, providing a picture-perfect setting against the backdrop of the snow-capped Pir Panjal mountains. This untouched natural beauty makes it a favourite spot for both relaxation and adventure activities and is more spectacular than any postcard could capture.

Soaking in the Fun

River rafting on the Lidder River is a popular and thrilling activity, offering adventurers the chance to navigate its rapids while soaking in the surrounding natural splendour. The river is also a favoured spot for trout fishing, appealing to both novice and experienced anglers.
